Ashtanga Yoga is an ancient healing system rooted on linking rhythmic breathing with specific postures. This dynamic process creates internal heat, which oxygenates, flush and revitalizes the body at the cellular level. The foundations of Ashtanga Yoga are Breath, Bandhas (energy locks), Vinyasa (syncing breath/movement) & Drishti (steady gazing). Cultivating these skills will help sharpen our senses and develop inner awareness. With practice, this powerful moving meditation will calm the mind; strengthen the body and nourish the nervous system.
Meditative Flow with Rachel

Come join Rachel at this new time and new night! Meditative Flow Yoga helps build a strong sense of awareness & meditative presense inside through mindful posture sequences and holding coupled with a solid practice of Pranayama (breathing).
Attention to creating a strong endurance of both inner power & focus with a balanced flow of opening & moderate paced postures. Building upon the basic breathing techniques as well exploring how the breath can bring greater healing energy to the whole body/mind beingness.

This class will ground and uplift you, help release stress while promoting your vital energy to flow with Hatha & Kundalini Yoga. After we center wtih yoga there will be a Dharma share, where conscious listening helps broaden awareness, and speaking to our expereience and feelings help heal. This is a unique time to share or ask questions about mindfulness from what information is brought to light.
All welcome, including beginners to yoga.
