Kids Yoga Classes

Earth Day Kids Classes April 22 with Alyssa Korzon

Kids Yoga (ages 5-8) 2-3pm

In this class we will be cultivating strong minds and calm bodies by moving, breathing, singing, and playing! This children’s class is designed for children 5-8 and introduces yoga in a fun, playful, and inclusive way. In addition to learning different poses and breaths, we will also embed social emotional learning. This includes self-awareness, problem
solving, self-love, building confidence, mindfulness, healthy communication, and coping skills.

Tween Yoga (ages 9-12) 3:30-4:30pm  

An introduction to yoga for adolescents. Learn what yoga is and why it’s good for your body and mind. In
addition to a physical yoga practice, this class incorporates teaching of yoga concepts, as well as hands-on activities.

$18 drop in, we recommend creating an account and adding your child to your account to reserve a spot for him/her.

May Series

Tween Yoga (ages 9-12) Thursdays 4-5pm May 4 – June 8

An adolescent yoga series to build body and breath awareness in a safe and inclusive environment. Learn what yoga is and why it’s good for your body and mind. The purpose of this series is to equip young people with healthy ways to manage their emotions and stress levels. In addition to a physical yoga practice, these classes incorporate teaching of
yoga concepts, as well as hands-on activities. This series is a modified module of the Kripalu Yoga in the Schools Curriculum; a program shown to help young people experience improved well being, and improved emotion and stress regulation.

$92/6 week series REGISTER HERE

Alyssa Korzon is a Kripalu yoga teacher, special education teacher, and reading specialist. Alyssa is a passionate and patient educator who finds joy in teaching social emotional learning and the mind body connection. Alyssa is also passionate about creating accessible and inclusive environments where young people feel safe, respected, and empowered.
Alyssa completed her 200 hr yoga teacher training at Kripalu in 2017. In addition, she is trained in Deep Play Yoga for Kids, and Kripalu Yoga in the Schools.
