Prenatal Yoga

Prenatal Yoga with Saskia Bergmans
Tuesdays 11-12:15pm

New Series beginning October 3

Practicing prenatal yoga is associated with a range of physical and mental health benefits for expectant mothers, including boosting strength, flexibility, balance, and easing pregnancy-related discomforts.  As important moderate exercise is during pregnancy, knowing how to rest deeply and rejuvenate is equally important, Saskia merges these two aspects into her prenatal classes to help prepare the mother-to-be for labor, delivery and the first critical years of motherhood.

Saskia has taught prenatal yoga for over 20years.  Saskia is passionate about teaching this specialized class, just because we are pregnant, doesn’t mean we necessarily slow down.  In these prenatal classes we prepare for this sacred journey through pregnancy and plant seeds for parenthood.  She has developed the class specifically to meet the needs and changes of the pregnant body.  She holds a safe and sacred space for her students, to connect with their growing baby and ever-changing pregnant bodies, by integrating asana and restorative yoga into her classes.

Saskia has practiced as a doula and teaches workshops to educate parents on the importance of prenatal and postpartum self-care.
