The Ramayana: An Evening of Storytelling & Kirtan

Come have fun through story and song as we delve into one of India’s greatest epics, The Ramayana. You’ll have the opportunity to tell your own stories and see the personal bridges with the mythic in this colorful tale celebrating love, devotion, and service. Throughout, we’ll be singing Kirtan, a joyous call and response of singing, to further illuminate the journey. Participation is encouraged but not necessary.
Nirmal Chandraratna is a New-York-based Kirtan artist and composer with a passion for nurturing connection— to spirit, to community, and to one’s deeper self— through music. Using the voice, the harmonium and the cello, he creates music for Kirtan and meditation, and works for communal performance. You can listen to music and media at NirmalC.com.
