Meditative Flow  with Steph
10-11:30am

Promoting strength & inner power, long stretches, pranayama to help enliven (breathing), a meditative yoga flow which opens key areas within the body with not much standing. A sweet, delicious wake up to help quiet the mind.

Sacred Sundays with Sally

A balanced practice cultivating the sweet and steady to help ground and uplift.  With the deep intention of aligning with all that is good and all that sustains love inside and out, we’ll fill our breath and our bodies with attention to heal and make peace without judgement.  The flow is slow, powerful and meditative.  Breath work connects all and guided relaxation and meditation integrates the practice deeply.

Restorative Yoga with Janice
6-7:30pm

A restorative practice relies on the use of props(blankets, bolster, straps and blocks) and prolonged holding of a few simple poses to achieve a deep level of relaxation. This unique style of yoga helps us slow down the pace of life and replenish our nervous system. Stillness of body helps us achieve a closer stillness of mind helping to quiet and soothe. The practice helps foster an expansive body awareness & level of mindfulness as we learn to rest within the postures growing more aware of where we hold tension, stress & pain and learn to let it go. Restorative is open to all, no yoga experience necessary!

Life Recovery Yoga

We are trying to reach out to all, letting people know, that yes, we ALL have our own personal struggles, demons, addictions, whatever you want to call them. Our Love Tribe Life Recovery Mindful Yoga and Sharing classes are a place everyone is welcome. We do 45 to 60 minutes of open yoga that all can do, followed by a group discussion, on a particular life topic, or individual shares on where one is at. Sharing is not mandatory, and at times we sit in silence and meditate. Feeling connected in a safe, sacred setting, where what is said and who is seen remains strictly anonymous, is an experience that is life changing… join us.

Yoga Nidra, or Yogic Sleep, is a guided relaxation through which you have the opportunity to experience the restorative qualities of sleep while still awake. When practices effectively, every minute of Yoga Nidra can provide the benefits of 2-5 minutes of sleep.  The practice is typically conducted while lying on out backs in savasana. Yoga Nidra begins with squeezing and releasing all of the muscles, and then a mental scan of the body to relax any remaining tension. Then we watch the breath and thoughts as the follow the body into a quiet and restorative state. After resting consciously and timelessly in deep relaxation, we slowly rise and enjoy the benefits of the practice.

One word for kindheartedness or compassion in the Pali language is anukampa, which means being moved in response to others, having a tender mind or an open heart. Developing a deepening kindheartedness or tenderness doesn’t mean that we consign someone else to a fixed role as “the unfortunate one,” as though to say we are perfectly fine and always will be, while they, cast down as they are, have nothing at all they can give to us at this point in time, and never will. There is often a strong mutuality in acts of kindness, so that many hospice aides, literacy tutors, volunteers working to provide meals to ill people with AIDS, and others engaged in helping of all kinds have told me unequivocally that through those actions they invariably get much more than they give. When we forget the complexity of a life, we also forget to look at what is whole in a person—what is intact and vital and generative. With the force of kindness, we can look at someone else and see those things as well as his or her pain. This helps us look at ourselves and see those same things within, alongside seeing our own pain. Then compassion and kindness connect us to a bigger picture of life where we can see pain but also love, loss but also movement, sorrow but also togetherness.- Sharon Salzbur ... See MoreSee Less

The element of Summer is fire.At the Summer Solstice the sun is at its height. Its powerful fire will nourish and grow the plants in our gardens over the upcoming weeks and months. Fall’s harvests won’t come without the sun. In summer we are reminded our sun is sacred.Just like Earth’s powerful sun, we each have our own inner fire. The fire that nourishes our hopes and our dreams.Your Inner Fire is that fierce, powerful part of your Self that does the hard work of bringing your dreams to life. In the same way that crops would cease to grow without the Earth’s sun, your life would shrivel without your Inner Fire. The summer’s sun is a reminder to celebrate your Inner Fire. Acknowledge that part of your Self. The fierce, powerful, badass part of your Self that resides within you. Take some time to recognize this and acknowledge the important things your Inner Fire does for you. Have gratitude for that part of your Self.- Reciprocity Project @reciprocityproj I hope you are taking care of yourself. Taking time to pause, process and think in a mindful way. Deciding what action to take, to help protect rights for every person. We are a collective, being part of a whole, which means no part is too small or insignificant to not be supported and protected. Being whole is being strong, becoming increasingly mindful of the ways in which events effect many - particularly the under-represented.Much Love, Happy Pride! May we feel our own and collective FIRE held in the container of peace.Saturday >>9am Deep Gentle with Chris10:30a Yang Yin with Lauren ... See MoreSee Less
